This secretary course is aimed at students who may already have a varying
range of office related experience; the course will strengthen those
skills in need of development, consolidate then confirm your
abilities in a Diploma.
This course focuses on skill enhancement as detailed below. We also look at building confidence through improving interpersonal and self-developmental skills providing a sounder footing on your career development path.
Course Content:
· Diary Management · Business Letter Writing · CV Development Composing Faxes, Memorandums and E-mails · Telephone skills · Making Travel/Hotel Arrangements · Filing Systems · Time Management · Organising meetings · Taking minutes at meetings · Invoicing/Petty cash · Delegation · Client Care · Work Planning · Document Presentation · Using Outlook as a tool
· Confidence building · Individual IT skills
assessment in areas MS Office subjects MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint-this
is related to students who only attend the main course.
The Diploma Package includes training in three MS Office products of
your choice plus additional typing and audio typing training.
Course entry requirement:
A. Existing typing skills good general level of education plus some job experience.
OR
B. Completion of Souters' Secretary Beginner module or skills assessment to check skills level
